Birdwatchers of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle are quiet, thoughtful. peaceful and care deeply, about birds and about each other too. They lost one of their 'flock' this summer and thru their sadness they create a memorial. Allan Wood loved his wife, his family, friends, flying, birdwatching and being part of a community. The La Cruz de Huanacaxtle Sunday Market (or the Mercado Domingo) is the highlight of the week for many ‘snowbirds’ and tourists who stay in La Cruz. Folks come from all over the Riviera Nayarit; South from Puerto Vallarta and from the North, Sayulita and beyond. The market draws many visitors to its colorful stalls, enticing food, and entertainment by local musicians. Spring time music and new awakenings. We were awoken this first day of Spring morning by the enchanting beating of drums. Chris got up and went out to find a man and a boy peacefully creating music, he grabbed the camera and careful not to interrupt he snapped this photo.
