Kiki creates seafood in the waterfront town of La Cruz. Enrique Garcia or as we call him, Kiki, is customer focused and loves serving others. Self-taught in the kitchen with help from his wife Sara, evolving into owning his own restaurant, Mariscos El Kiki, came naturally. Savor delicious pizza made with heart at Casa Hule, now in the beautiful Octopus Garden! Recently guests told me they visited Italy in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle. After shopping for groceries in our little town I was driving home and passed two extremely happy guests and they raved about the pizza at Casa Hule; "This is the best pizza we've had, we feel like we're in Italy!" When I want to feel like I’m in Mexico… really in Mexico, I visit La Saranderia restaurant on Playa Manzanilla in La Cruz. I dig my toes into the sand; I order a margarita and devour their namesake dish, Sarandeado fish. Owner Fer Galvez told me “Sarandeado fish is traditional in our Nayarit province and my family has been using this recipe for 25 years. It’s delicious and we make it with spices of the region.
